2/9, Paint-Drip Bowl Class

Date: Saturday, February 9th, 9:30-2:30pm

Glass cutting experience is not necessary!

In this class you will use the kiln-casting technique to create a colorful rim for your 10” bowl/plate.

To start, you will transfer the paint-drip pattern onto fiber paper and then cut it out with an exacto knife.  While working directly on a kiln shelf you will fill the mold you created with different colors of frit and we will fire it.

Before you leave that day, you will choose your top layer of glass and cut out a 10” circle so when your paint drip is fused we can lay it on top of your glass and fire it flat.

Lastly, we will slump your project into the finished shape.

Cost includes clear base glass, frit, fiber paper, three firings and lunch.  You will need to purchase the top layer of glass.

Bring:  glass cutting tools, if you have them and glasses. No shorts or open-toed shoes.
